Body Wisdom FAQ's

  • Who is Body Wisdom for?

Body wisdom is for everyone who:

    • has pain or a problem within their body that they have yet to find a solution for
    • is trying to understand themselves and their bodies
    • want to assist others in healing their bodies - practitioners, healers, coaches,
      or parents.
  • What is chiropractic? What is it that you do?

At its very core, the body knows how to heal itself. But balance is key.

That’s what I do; I help your body return to its balance. We don’t need to concentrate to reknit that broken bone or make new skin cells, as they heal themselves. However, our bodies sometimes need gentle support to align themselves. This is the original meaning of a chiropractic adjustment- bringing our bodies into alignment with themselves. Now, 120 years on from this original discovery, we realise that our heart, mind, and body need to be aligned for the body and mind to function well.

The 3 aspects that chiropractic focuses on are:

    1. the structural (nervous system, bones, muscles etc)
    2. the biochemical (hormones, nutrition, toxicity etc)
    3. the emotional.

Body Wisdom focuses mainly on the third one.

  • What is Neuro-emotional-technique?

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is a tool to support the body to resolve unprocessed stress.

In times of stress, it can be hard to process how we feel. When our stress is unresolved, it can result in neurological imbalances that can manifest in our behaviour or bodies.

Neuro Emotional technique is a tool that helps our bodies to return to balance.

When we remember an event, we remember snippets of the situation. How we understand a situation can be coloured by how we see the world. NET works on the “emotional reality” of a person, which may be different from what happened. It is our perception of the situation that NET is helping to resolve.

Neuro Emotional Technique or NET is a research backed mind-body technique that has a foundation in Chiropractic, Applied Kinesiology and Acupuncture. It is gentle and non-invasive. Link for more information & link to video.

  • Do you see patients?

I do see patients. You are welcome to book an appointment here and visit me in my office in Southern Sydney.

  • Do you see children & teens?

I sure do and I love it. They respond beautifully to treatment and frequently enjoy the process. Feel free to book them in here.

  • How long are sessions?

Initial appointments are an hour; follow ups can be half an hour to an hour.

  • What does a session look like?

All sessions can look a little different. Initially, we go through your health history and what you have come to me for. This is followed by a gentle assessment. I then use applied kinesiology (muscle testing) to find the stressor in your body and correct it using NET and any other appropriate remedies indicated.

Most people need more than one session, and we decide that together.

  • Are there any other ways people can work with you?
